The land, sea and air cargo market has declined from previous spikes during the Covid-19 era. While 2022 has shown a completely different industrial outlook than the last two years due to the reopening of borders, the revival of passenger aviation operations globally after Covid, and the Russian war-Ukraine.

The Russian-Ukraine war has shaken up the world’s oil supply leading to unprecedented inflation and rising USD interest rates. Sporadic trade price escalations again caused an imbalance in the global economic chain that affected the air cargo industry as well as the cargo market. The world is once again forced to make another dramatic change in its economic activity as a result of this situation.

KLI tries to keep up with and adapt from this changing world and have taken these changes objectively and mobilized our global business strategy to suit the current situation. While our increase in aircraft capacity continues, our expansion plans are now spread across a wider spectrum of markets. Currently our biggest focus is meeting domestic market demand and preparing for the needs of Indonesia’s New National Capital (IKN) and we are determined to become a new logistics and cargo force in the low cost logistics market which is full of innovation and high competition.

KLI is also proud to announce its latest collaboration with PT Dirgantara Indonesia for the purchase of 11 units of N219 aircraft with a contract value of USD 80.5 million which was witnessed directly by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subiant and Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa. All of these aircraft will later strengthen PT KLI’s fleet in increasing passenger and logistical connectivity in remote areas to larger airports, for example hajj, umrah, business activities and others.
