PT Karya Logistik Indotama (PT KLI) purchased 11 units of N219 aircraft made by PT Dirgantara
Indonesia (PT DI) with a passenger transport configuration and its accessories. The purchase
was marked by the signing of a contract between the President Director (Director) of PT DI
Gita Amperiawan and the Managing Director of PT KLI Krishna Soejitno on the sidelines of Indo
Defense 2022.
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and PPN Minister/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa
witnessed the purchase procession. “Thank God, PT KLI has just purchased 11 aircraft (from PT
DI). This is pride for the nation’s children,” said Prabowo at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta,
Thursday (3/11/2022).
The total price of the sale and purchase contract for the 11 units of N219 aircraft is US$80.5
million or around Rp.1.27 trillion. PT DI plans to hand over one unit of N219 aircraft to PT KLI in
the 28th month after the contract becomes effective. Then, the second to the 11th units will be
handed over in stages every four months after the delivery of the first unit.
PT KLI is an Indonesian company engaged in mining, trade and logistics. The company will
utilize the N219 aircraft to improve passenger and logistics connectivity in remote areas to
larger airports.
